Building TREMECA: A Visual Identity Rooted in Mexican Innovation

The Challenge

TREMECA is a global trader and exporter of Mexican products, built on the values of innovation and creativity. The challenge? Crafting a brand identity that clearly communicates its Mexican roots without falling into clichés. It needed to feel authentic, modern, and professional, while reflecting the dynamism of global trade.

My Role & Approach

As the lead designer, I developed TREMECA’s identity from scratch, shaping everything from the logo to the visual system and digital presence. The goal was to create a distinctive brand that seamlessly blended Mexican heritage with a forward-thinking global perspective.

Key Design Decisions

The Logo: The two E’s in TREMECA were connected to symbolize exchange and movement, inspired by ancient Aztec graphics.

The Arrows: A subtle yet powerful element representing trade, flow, and connection across borders.

Visual Identity: A balance between tradition and modernity, ensuring TREMECA looked proudly Mexican while avoiding stereotypes.

Client Collaboration: We worked closely with the client, integrating their feedback to ensure they felt truly represented by the final design.

The Impact

The identity was widely embraced and the icon, in particular, resonated strongly with the client. TREMECA successfully launched with a cohesive visual system applied across:

  • Website
  • Packaging
  • Social media
  • Print materials

More than just a brand, TREMECA now stands as a trusted, innovative, and professional business with a strong identity that reflects its mission and values.
